Pick up and delivery was absolutely excellent. Pick up from elderly person and delivered to disabled wheelchair user, both drivers couldn't do enough to help. Package was huge and we really feel both drivers gave respect to sender and recipient and were courteous, punctual and kind. Price was amazing for a very big and heavy package. Would definitely recommend. Arranging pickup from home was easy, quick and straightforward.

First time using ParcelHero and definitely the last
First time using ParcelHero (PH), and the last. I booked Parcelforce (PF), to collect today and deliver in two days. PF did not turn up, or at least that's what I thought. I saw later on PF's track and trace that they say they tried to collect at 3.30pm. Well, if they did I did not hear them, and I received no communication (email/text/phone) from them, before during or after, other than the message "customer not available". It's at this point that I find out that in order to get the collection attempted again you have to rebook, which incurs a £9 charge. Parcelhero told me on the same page that I could book UPS instead for about £18, so I thought let's do that, then when I clicked on that it became £42. Unbelievable. At that point I thought why don't I just cancel the PH booking (£9 charge) and book directly through PF, which I did and found a) the prices are much cheaper b) the protection is 4 times as much (200 vs 50 pounds), c) the web journey feels better and gives me more confidence, d) for less money than via PH I am getting a 24h (one-day) delivery in the morning. So ironically I'm still using PF but directly and I expect there is less friction doing it this way. I'll find out soon enough. At this point, I just think, what's the point of ParcelHero. Nice idea in theory, but PH's profits have to come from somewhere. My PH booking was 24.67, that was a 2-day delivery with £50 protection, my PF one was £20.20, a 1-day, AM delivery with £200 protection, and a better website journey. All that said PH presumably cannot be blamed for the non-collection - unless that was down to some friction (not passing on my phone number / email? who knows). Hence, two stars, not one.

Collection was never organised through…
Collection was never organised through ParcelHero to UPS. Waited for an entire day and the parcel was collected. Rearranged collection for another day and rang UPS to confirm. They had no date scheduled for collection. ParcelHero then charged me an additional fee for rescheduling the delivery. Emailed customer service and emailed Mark who is constantly avoiding the issue, giving me information that I already know and keeps saying he will investigate and I have to repeat myself every time he responds. Utterly ridiculous.
Tough luck attitude - They give the wrong information and then charge customer for their mistakes
I was trying to return a parcel using Parcelhero and was told that my parcel could be dropped off at several locations near me. After trying several places which did not take the parcel/have the service Parcel hero said they did I had to cancel costing me £6 (and it was their fault). So after chatting with customer service, they said to try another provider so I did, and then none of those locations took my parcel (I was on the last day of being able to return my parcel), so I again had to cancel because of incorrect information on their website costing me another £6 and instead go to the post office and use their service. When I talked to customer services, they couldn't help and said I should WRITE in to complain. So not only did I waste hrs trying to post something because of incorrect information, but they then wanted me to pay for a stamp, letter and paper and the trouble of going to a post box to complain to them.

The parcel was not attempted to deliver to the address no note left. It now transpires that the parcel is at a UPS collection point but no one was told. Crazy system. Never again
Check elsewhere first.. cancelation charges
Booked a collection. Checked and found ParcelHero's price was £22 with Parcelforce vs £12.60 with Parcelforce directly for the same package, but that even had much higher loss coverage (150 vs 50). Tried to cancel with Parcelhero.. £9 charge! I only just booked it, never again.

Booked at a good price, no fuss collected the next day and delivered quickly. Will be using again.
