Kamernet is a complete scam from top to bottom.
Their product cannot be tried out until you purchase a Premium subscription. Only when you pay is when you can contact landlords or agencies on the platform. You can't really check the value of the product until then (which is, spoiler alert, NONE).
After testing the platform for 2-3 days and finding it completely useless, I requested a refund which Kamernet refused.
According to EU law and regulations: "... If you bought a product or a service online or outside of a shop (by telephone, mail order, from a door-to-door salesperson), you also have the right to cancel and return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. ...".
I pointed the above to them, but they responded that "the consent to waiving the right of withdrawal is demonstrated by the user by putting a tick in the box that specifically brings it to their attention when purchasing a subscription on Kamernet". That is not only illegal in Europe, but also unethical and immoral.
Absolutely no one who buys a service online is aware that they could be giving up the right to get a refund if they ticked some checkbox, especially when the terms and conditions are designed unclear or vague to confuse end-users—like it's the case of Kamernet's... and especially when the end-user has no other way to try out the product to find out whether it is really worth it.
In other words, Kamernet is a scam business, as they take advantage of the urgency and desperation of end-users looking for accommodation in a saturated market like the Netherlands' one.
