Review over: Avianca
lFriday, February 10, my husband and I flew with Avianca flight nr AV98 at 6:55 am from Santiago de Chile to Bogota transit to Curaçao with flight nr AV 78. we are residents of Curaçao. We have quite a few incidents that have really annoyed us during this trip. To start with checking in our bags. The Avianca lady asked if we filled in the emigration form from Curaçao. we answer no, it is not necessary because we are residents of Curaçao. she insisted that we also have to fill it in otherwise she wouldn't let us through. Once the form was filled in as if we were not residents, we went to her again and showed the screen of our mobile that the form was completed online. She didn't even look at it and nodded and then we were allowed to check in our bags. Now the plane story also with annoyance. We were group A so we were one of the first to board. Once we are in our chair, we see a couple with a French bulldog on a leash, at least 15 kilos, walking past us to the back. when everyone had boarded, suddenly the couple with the bulldog of 15 kilos sit behind me with the dog on their lap and a big panting sound behind me. I'm allergic to dogs and then on a flight for almost 6 hours without another drink or food with a panting dog behind me. How is it possible that a dog can just go loose in the cabin on such a long flight. the rule is that heavy dogs can travel in the hold. This is simply unacceptable. In the end I explained the problem to the flight attendant and was able to get another seat. What we also regret is that such an Avianca, the largest in South America, on a flight of almost 6 hours, does not hand out anything to drink or a snack to the passengers. Yes, there was enough to drink or snack, but you could buy that. Very bad experience. Bad service for so much money we paid for the tickets
